Songs are really only touch people when the lyrics connect or relate to them; how often do you actually listen to the lyrics in a serious way when you're happy? And how often do you seriously listen to the lyrics when you're sad or angry? I have to show you a quote that maybe you've heard, maybe you haven't.
"When you are happy, you enjoy the music. But, when you are sad, you understand the lyrics."How often have you listened to the lyrics when you're sad and finally understood the meaning? I view music as a psychological release, I say this because music has millions of different beats, tones, lyrics, and meanings. Whatever your mood, there is always a collection of songs that match your mood. But furthermore, being unhappy can cause more attentiveness and awareness to what is going on, especially in music (a very expressive way of releasing feelings to others).
As a heads up, I will be doing a different kind of review chapter for the next couple weeks. I will be in no specific category but more of a "random artist review" section.
